Hi! I’m Valeria, and I am currently in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Tarleton State University. I previously earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Texas Christian University. I am currently being supervised by Gabriela Garcia, Psy-D, LPC-S. As a first-generation student, I value perseverance and the importance of having a strong support system.

I am passionate about working with children and teens while creating a space where clients feel comfortable being themselves and sharing at their own pace. I view counseling as a collaborative process where we focus on what matters most to you while building on your strengths and supporting your personal growth.

As a bilingual counselor who speaks English and Spanish, I value each client’s unique background, culture, and experiences and strive to create an environment where everyone feels heard, understood, and supported.
