Sandy Hernandez
Office Manager
 
My name is Sandy Hernandez and I am the Office Manager at PSP Professional Services, Inc.  If you have any questions about our practice, need to schedule an appointment or have questions about your insurance you can call our office and I will try to assist you as best as possible. 
 
Aside from providing counseling services, PSP is now providing classes for Children in the Middle and Anger Management.  We will soon be providing classes for Parenting Education.  If you have any questions about any of our classes, I can assist you.
 
For our bilingual clients, I am also fluent in Spanish.
 
 
Gabriela (Gaby) Garcia, LPC
 
My name is Gaby Garcia and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor.  I received my Bachelor of Science Degree from Texas Christian University and my Master of Science Degree from Texas Woman's University.  I have a PSY D from the USC for Professional Studies Distance Learning Program.
 
I provide counseling services in both English and Spanish.  My client population includes children, adolescents and adults.  I work with individuals as well as families.
 
My theoretical approach is cognitive-behavioral and solution focused.  I am also trained in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy for children.
 
My clinical interests include: sexual abuse survivors, domestic violence, school difficulties, adolescent issues, crisis intervention and depression.  I also work with individuals that have been diagnosed with diabetes -helping teach better management and control.
 
 
 
 
  Pamela (Pam) Cheek, LPC-Intern
 
My name is Pamela (Pam) Cheek and I am a Licnesed Professional Counselor Intern.  I received my Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Texas Christian University and my Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. 
 
The counseling relationship is about finding hope, pursuing healing, and moving towards wholeness.  I desire to see clients receive emotional, mental and spiritual healing.  To this end, I utilize a vareity of techniques including: cognitive/behavioral, solution focused and family systems therapy.
 
My area of practice include: individual, couple and family counseling for issues of depression, anxiety, trauma, anger management,  sexual issues, women's issues, grief/loss, spirituality and Christian counseling.  I am a Prepare/Enrich certified counselor for pre-marital and marital counseling, and a member of the Americcan Association of Christian Counselors.
 
 
 
Courtney San Miguel, LPC-Intern
 
My name is Courtney San Miguel and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern.  I graduated from Texas Christian University with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology.  I then earned a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Counseling at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.  Also, I am a member of the American Association of Christian Counseling.
 
I believe that every person is unique, therefore I use an eclectic sytle of counseling.  I intend to fit the best counseling methods to each individual personality that enters my office.
 
My areas of speciality include: marriage, pre-marital, family, blended family, parenting, children, grief, abandonment, abuse, adjustment issues, vocational, and spiritual/Christian counseling.

Cherry Weaver, LCDC, LPC
 
My name is Cherry Weaver and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor.  I received by Master's Degree in Counseling from Amberton University in Garland, Texas.  My specialized areas of practice include:  chemical dependency, adult children of alcoholics/addicts, abuse issues, domestic violence, depression, grief counseling, anger management, couples/marital counseling, and group therapy. 
 
I utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy, which is based on the theory that our emotions and behaviors are influenced by our beliefs and thoughts.  I also utilize "Motivational Interviewing", which is a trans-theoretical approach.  In this approach, therapeutic interventions "meet the clients where they are at" in their readiness to change - utilizing the "Stages of Change" theory.
 
 
 
 
Carol Beyer, MSSW, LCSW
 
 My name is Carol Beyer and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.  I received my Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Texas Christian University and my Master's Degree from the University of Texas at Arlington.
 
I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy in my therapeutic work.
 
My clinical interests include: children, adolescents, eating disorders, depression, diagnosis, substance abuse, crisis intervention and bipolar disorders.
    
 
 
Jose I. Carbajal, LCSW
 
My name is Jose I. Carbajal and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.  I received my Bachelor and Master's Degrees from Baylor University.  I am dedicated to helping people overcome their challenges.  I see individuals with having the capacity to overcome their obstacles.  My purpose is to work with individuals to help them reach their desired goals.
 
I have worked in community agencies developing programs and providing therapy, and with military members and their families.  I have a passion for working with people that want to work through their issues. 
 
My specialties include:  trauma (PTSD), sexual abuse recovery, domestic violence, interpersonal relationship issues/adjustments, substance abuse, and issues of existentialism. 
 
I realize that seeking psychotherapy or counseling services is an important and difficult step, but my priority is to ensure you feel at ease in this process.
